Pinterest to Cristy is as Crack is to a Crackwhore

If you have not heard of the wonderful world of Pinterest(http://www.pinterest.com/) , I DO NOT recommend going there unless you have lots of free time on your hands, you need a new addictive hobby, or you just feel like ignoring people for the next 2 months while you work it out of your system.

My friend Christina invited me to Pinterest, since I missed out on a lot of her wedding stuff she was posting on Facebook. Kind of important since I am a bridesmaid.
I blame her for this monster she has created.
Pinterest, in a brief description, is an image based website (think Google Images) that people can "pin" to their "bulletin boards".
Bottom line....see something you like, Pin It so others can see it.
These "pins" come from anywhere, a picture someone uploaded, a video from the web, blogs, websites, anywhere.
Its pretty much an easier way to surf the web.
I have found so many cute ideas on there. Food, photography, crafts, DIY, food.
Mostly food.
Thank God I own a gym membership!
I found some really cute ideas for Valentines Day, but decided all the crafty stuff was biting off more than I could chew, so I wanted to find a cool recipe for our Bake Sale at work.
I found something called Swirl Cookies and fell in love.
I found out the hard way that these cookies require patience and time from the baker. Something I don't have. It will need to be a very special occasion to make these cookies.
I am so very tired of making the same old boring dinners. I also am tired of staring at the fridge at 445pm hoping something premade will present itself and I can eat.
But that has not happened yet.
Last week I found a recipe for something called Sticky Finger Salad. It comes from a restaurant called Wingers in the States(Ive never heard of it, but it sounded good!).
So I made it for dinner, and it was so yummy!

I found it a bit difficult to eat, with so many pieces and textures going on with the meal.
I dont think I ever once got salad, chicken, chips and corn in one forkful.
I made enough that we had leftovers, so the next day for lunch we had it in wrap version.
So much easier to eat.
When I make this again, we will be doing it this way.
I also spend hours drooling over the thousands of creative desserts out there, and Im pretty sure I gain weight just looking at the pictures, and this is why until yesterday, I avoided making any of these creations.

We had a potluck at work today, so I made Cookie Dough Truffles.
Raw cookie dough (no egg) dipped in chocolate.
Genius!
And so easy to make.

Next on the list is some freezer meals that I can pop into the Crockpot and have dinner ready when we get home.
I also have some interesting desserts that I want to try out at Easter, but until then I will spend my days dreaming about them....and finding more stuff I can make.
Anyone else hungry?
